Counter IED Train the Trainer Course

Course Overview

This course covers combat driving techniques, convoy and patrol operations, 5/25 meter and IED practical exercise, IED hunting, establishing entry and traffic control points, recognizing vehicle-borne IEDs, electronic countermeasures (ECMs), marksmanship, communications and signal awareness, and identifying the enemy.

PURPOSE:
1. Trainers will train selected NCOs and officers to qualify them to conduct the Soldier Awareness Briefing.
2. Trainers will integrate IED-T3 into pre mobilization training for their own units.
3. Trainers will also identify the required tactical capabilities at each echelon of command and develop a C-IED training strategy for mobilizing units.
4. Trainers will identify relationships between the training environment and combat in theater and how to integrate effective training.

The CIED-TTT course of instruction is designed to reduce causalities by instructing the soldier to detect, deter, defeat, and respond to IEDs.
Soldiers completing this course of instruction will be able to return to their units and train them using the course materials

This course is tailored for personnel and unites in the preparation for deployment
Target Audience: Attendees should be in grades 03/04 or E5, E6, E7,E8 or W1-W5 and occupy a position that will allow time to analyze their units pre mobilization training shortfalls.
They should also have the instructional ability to brief in a classroom environment.
